The upset of the softball postseason so far belong to City High.

City High snapped a 3-3 tie with a run in the top of the seventh inning and held on for a 4-3 win over ninth-ranked Bettendorf on Saturday in a Class 5A, Region 4 semifinal in Bettendorf.

A state tournament qualifier a year ago, City High (19-20) will be seeking its third trip to state in four seasons when it travels to sixth-ranked West Des Moines Valley (25-13) for the regional title game on Tuesday at 7 p.m.

Bettendorf closed the season 28-11.

Kylie Cronk held Bettendorf to just six hits and Makayla doubled, homered and scored the go-ahead run in the seventh inning.

Lianna Hull went 4-for-4 with a triple and scored two runs for City High.
