Boys Basketball Roundup: Cascade Stops Regina in Class 2A District Opener

Regina had its season come to an end on Monday with a 51-31 loss to Cascade in a Class 2A, District 10 opening-round contest in Cascade.
The Regals led 10-9 after the opening quarter but Cascade used an 11-2 second-quarter run to take a 20-12 halftime lead it would never give up.
Regina closed the season 6-16 while Cascade improved to 9-13 and advanced to the District 10 quarterfinals where it will face No. 6 Williamsburg (20-2) on Thursday at 7 p.m.
Cole McDermott led three Cascade players in double figures on Monday with 14 points while Cass Hoffman had 11 and Justin Roling added 10.
Gavin Manternach had six assists and Jackson Lieurance five as the Cougars had 17 assists on 21 made field goals.
