Clear Creek Amana Coach Zumsande Inducted into IHSBCA Hall of Fame

For nearly four decades Clear Creek Amana head coach Nick Zumsande has built a baseball resume as extensive and unique as any coach in the state.
Last month Zumsande added another accomplishment to his list of career achievements.
Zumsande was inducted into the Iowa High School Baseball Coaches Association Hall of Fame at its 54th annual awards banquet in Cedar Rapids last month.
The Norway native won more than 400 games as the head coach at Muscatine Community College and had stints as the pitching coach at Iowa, Iowa State and Indiana State.
Zumsande was a scout for the Miami Marlins prior to taking over as the head coach at Clear Creek Amana prior to the 2020 season.
In two seasons at Clear Creek Amana Zumsande has directed the Clippers to a 32-23 record.
Zumsande led Clear Creek Amana to a 16-6 record and the first state tournament appearance in program history in his first season in 2020.
The Clippers went 16-17 last season.
Zumsande was one of seven Hall of Fame inductees in 2022 joining coaches Billy Argo, Mike Laird and Brian Luft, players Reggier Stalzer and Joe Hoerner and umpire Jay Flora.
