City High earned its second win over a ranked team in a span of 24 hours on Saturday knocking off Class 5A eighth-ranked West Des Moines Valley 49-41 in a non-conference contest in Iowa City.

Ninth-ranked City High improved to 13-2 on the season while West Des Moines Valley dropped to 13-5 with the loss.

Eviyon Richardson had 16 points to lead City High while Kelsey Joens added 14 for the Little Hawks.

Georgia Kimm added eight points and Andie Westlake had seven for City High.

Elise Jaeger had a game-high 18 for West Des Moines Valley while Meredith Rieker and Brynne Katcher each had 11 points.
