 Solon closed the 2021 portion of its schedule with a 46-35 road win over Independence on Tuesday in a WAMAC Conference cross-divisional matchup in Independence.

The win was the second straight for the Spartans and improved Solon to 4-4 on the season and 3-3 in WAMAC play.

Independence dropped to 2-5 on the season and 1-5 in WAMAC games.

Jake Benzing led Solon with 13 points while Kinnick Pusteoska added 10 and Jacob Timmons had nine for the Spartans.

Daniel Brock and Michael Kascel each had 11 points for Independence.

Solon (46) – Jake Benzing 13, Kinnick Pusteoska 10, Jacob Timmons 9, Oaken Foster 6, Brady Mullen 5, Gehrig Turner 3

Independence (35) – Daniel Brock 11, Michael Kascel 11, Sawyer Wendling 5, Robert Hansen 4, Keegan Schmitt 4
