The Your Prep Sports Alumni Report is a weekly segment that recognizes the accomplishments of graduates from YPS area schools that are continuing their careers as student athletes at the collegiate level. Alumni News is a way for readers to keep tabs on former area standouts as well as honoring those athletes that continue to excel at the next level.
Alexa Aldrich-Ingram
City High graduate Alexa Aldrich-Ingram earned NAIA honorable mention all-American honors from the American Volleyball Coaches Association after a stellar senior season at Grandview.
Aldrich-Ingram had 416 kills this season, averaging 3.18 per set, and had 76 blocks and 126 digs while helping Grandview to a 25-15 record and No. 22 ranking.
The senior right side hitter had a season-high 24 kills against Central Methodist in the Heart of America Conference tournament.
Kenya Earl
City High graduate Kenya Earl was named Midwest Conference Player of the week for the second time this season last week after posting a pair of big games.
A junior at Lawrence University Earl averaged 25 points, 13.5 rebounds and 3 blocks per game posting back-to-back double-doubles against Beloit College and Grinnell College.
In nine games this season Earl is averaging 17.2 points, 11.2 rebounds and 1.8 blocks per game.
Masen Miller
Regina graduate Masen Miller hit the game-winning 3-poitner to lift Truman State to a 72-71 win over University of Missouri-St. Louis earlier this month and has led the Bulldogs in scoring each of the past two games as Truman State is off to a 7-2 start this season.
Miller had 17 points in a win over Maryville University and 22 against Central Christian College of the Bible and is averaging 13.6 points per game this season.
