Senior Spotlight
Ainsley Schrock, Clear Creek Amana
Parents: Monte and Nicole Schrock
Siblings: Addyson Schrock
Sports/Activities: At Clear Creek Amana Hugh School I participate in Track & Field (Thrower), Softball, and Basketball.
How did you get involved in sports?: I have played sports ever since I was little. I first started by playing rec league softball and soccer, but eventually added in some basketball.
Favorite moment from athletics: My favorite moment of my athletic career was probably my sophomore year winning a state championship as a thrower.
A person that has influenced you: There have been many people in my life that have influence me. The person who has probably taught me the most is my younger sister. We are nine years apart and every day she looks up to me and what I do. Knowing that I have a shadow watching every move I make keeps me motivated to do new thing and shows me that it’s ok to fail because that’s how you learn. She is like a little sponge and knows so much more then I will ever know but she tells me sometimes it’s because she learned it from me. Next year will for sure be hard without her by my side every day but it’s what makes us stronger.
Hobbies: My hobbies outside of school events are being outside, spending time with friends and family, hunting, riding four wheelers, and trying new things.
Favorite class: My favorite classes I have taken have probably been glass works with Mary Pat Hansen, Crime and Lit with Marissa Moore or an Agriculture class with Mrs. Amelon. All of these teachers are amazing and are always there to talk if you need them but the way they teach their classes is all hands on which is the best way to learn.
Favorite food: My favorite food is probably grandma’s homemade applesauce or a home cooked burger that you can put whatever you want on it.
Favorite book: My favorite book is probably “Where the Red Fern Grows” or “To Kill A Mockingbird”.
Favorite movie: There are many great movies out there but one of my favorites is Peter Rabbit or Marly & Me.
How are you spending time with school closed?: While school is closed I am staying busy nannying, being outside, and spending time with family.
Future plans: I plan to continue my education and throwing career at Wartburg College.
