Sports/Activities: The sports I have played during my high school career are volleyball and tennis. I’m not only involved in sports. I am also involved in choir, best buddies and national honors society.

How did you get involved in sports?: I got involved in sports during high school because it is a great way to meet new people. When I was a freshman at City High I did not know many people. Sports helped me get involved with others and resulted in me getting involved in other clubs and sports. 

Favorite moment from athletics: My favorite moment from my athletic career is team regionals, my junior year, on the tennis team. We were playing against Cedar Rapids Washington and my doubles match was the match that decided whether we won or lost. With the work of my amazing doubles partner, Kelsey Law, we won. 

A person that has influenced you: My mom is the person that has the biggest influence on me. She has encourage me not only in sports and clubs but also school. She is such a strong women in my life and I strive to be like her. 

Hobbies: Outside of school I love to run outside, go for hikes, spend time with my family and friends and cook.

Favorite class: My favorite classes I have taken during high school are AP World History, AP Biology and any math class.

Favorite food: My favorite food is avocado toast.

Favorite book: My favorite book of all time is either How To Kill A Mockingbird, Great Gatsby or Elephant Whisperer.

Favorite movie: My favorite movie is Remember The Titans.

How are you spending time with school closed?: While we have been on quarantine I have been going for runs often, spending time with my mom and binge watching Netflix.

Future plans: After graduation I plan to attend the University of Iowa. At the University I will study public health at the College of Public Health.
