Clear Creek Amana Senior Stratton Named WAMAC West Division Player of the Year

Karsyn Stratton helped Clear Creek Amana take a big step this season.
After back-to-back 11-win seasons Stratton led the Clippers to a 17-4 regular season record and a WAMAC West Division title this season.
For her efforts Stratton got her own step up when the WAMAC announced its postseason awards on Wednesday.
A unanimous first-team West Division selection in each of her first three seasons, Stratton was tabbed as the West Division player of the year for the first time this season after ranking second among all WAMAC players with 21.1 points per game.
The 5-foot-8 Stratton headlines a group of six Clear Creek Amana players to earn postseason recognition from the conference after the Clippers went 15-4 in WAMAC games and 11-1 against West Division foes.
Stratton shot 55 percent from the field while leading Clear Creek Amana in scoring for the fourth consecutive season and added 5.7 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 2.3 steals per game.
Sophomore Calia Clubb joined Stratton as a unanimous first team West Division selection.
Clubb averaged 9.1 points and led Clear Creek Amana with 9 rebounds per game and 28 blocked shots.
Junior Whitney Traetow and senior Meagan Harvey were both second-team West Division picks for the Clippers.
Traetow averaged 6.8 points per game and was second on the team with 2.1 assists per game while Harvey led Clear Creek Amana with 40 3-pointers while averaging 9.3 points and 5.9 rebounds per game.
Junior Emily Sly and senior Allison Rummelhart were both honorable mention selections for the Clippers.
Solon had a trio of sophomores earn East Division honors.
Kaia Holtkamp was named to the East Division first team, Makinley Levin was a second-team pick and Elly Holubar joined senior Jenna LaDage in earning honorable mention status for the Spartans.
