Just a few days in front of the first game of her final prep season Liberty High senior Sam Harvey made a decision on her volleyball future.
Harvey announced she was committing to Southeastern Louisiana University to play beach volleyball on Saturday with a post on social media.
“So excite to announce that I have verbally committed to Southeastern Louisiana University to play beach volleyball,” Harvey wrote on Twitter. “I appreciate everyone who supported me throughout this journey. Go Lions!”
A 5-foot-11 hitter, Harvey ranked third on the team with 130 kills last season while earning honorable mention all-Mississippi Valley Conference divisional honors.
Harvey was fourth on the team with 31 blocks as a junior helping Liberty High to a 24-3 record, a second consecutive state tournament appearance and a Class 5A runner-up finish.
