David DiLeo
West High graduate David DiLeo became the career 3-pointer leader in Central Michigan and Mid-American Conference history on Friday with four triples in a 65-60 loss at Buffalo.
The four 3-pointers on Friday gave DiLeo 310 for his career breaking the school record of 306 that had stood since 2018 and the MAC record of 309 set by Nate Navigato of Toledo in 2019.
A senior guard, DiLeo is averaging 14.5 points and 4.8 rebounds per game this season while shooting a team-best 39 percent from 3-point range.
Shelby Gunnells
Solon graduate Shelby Gunnells was one of two North Dakota State throwers to break the school record in the indoor shot put on Saturday at the Bison Open.
A senior at NDSU, Gunnells improved her personal best by more than a foot with a throw of 57-2 ¼ on Saturday and now ranks second in school history and seventh in the NCAA this season.
Jake Neubauer
Former Clear Creek Amana standout Jake Neubauer had a pair of strong games for Iowa Wesleyan last week.
The senior guard had a team-high 26 points, five rebounds and four steals in a 75-59 loss to Blackburn and added 11 points, four rebounds and two assists in a loss to Eureka on Saturday.
Neubauer is averaging 14.5 points, 4.5 rebounds and 2.9 assists for the Tigers this season.
Wali Parks
West High graduate Wali Parks had a team-high 17 points and three rebounds to help Bethune-Cookman to a 78-73 win over North Carolina A&T on Saturday.
A 6-foot-6 senior Parks is averaging 7.8 points and 4.6 rebounds per game this season for Bethune-Cooman.
