Baseball Roundup: Solon Closes the Regular Season With Win Over Washington

Class 3A seventh-ranked Solon closed the regular season on Tuesday with a 5-1 win over Washington in a non-conference contest in Solon.
The Spartans improved to 27-11 with the win while Washington dropped to 15-13.
Brady Jeworrek earned the win for the Spartans allowing one unearned run on three hits in three innings.
Drew Turner allowed just one hit and struck out five in three innings of work and Brayden Rickertsen worked a hitless seventh inning.
Blake Timmons went 3-for-3 with two doubles and two RBI to pace Solon while Brett White had a double, scored a run and drove in a run.
Kinnick Pusteoska had a double and drove in two runs while Carson Shive and Ben Cusick each scored runs.
