Boys Basketball Roundup: Miller Helps Regina Get Back on Track With Win Over Mid-Praire

Masen Miller poured in a game-high 28 points as Regina got back on track with a 65-45 win over Mid-Prairie on Tuesday in a River Valley Conference South Division matchup in Iowa City.
Regina improved to 10-3 on the season and 10-2 in RVC play with the win while Mid-Prairie dropped to 3-10 on the season and 3-9 in conference play.
Chase Becker joined Miller in double figures with 12 points while Josh Dutchik added nine and Danny Molony had seven for Regina.
Ethan Trimpe had 15 points and Aidan Rath added 11 for Mid-Prairie.

Clippers Win Third Straight
Clear Creek Amana followed up its upset of Class 2A sixth-ranked Dyersville Beckman on Monday with an 83-22 win at South Tama on Tuesday in a WAMAC West Division matchup in Tama.
The win was the third straight for Clear Creek Amana and improved the Clippers to 11-4 on the season and 10-4 in WAMAC play while South Tama dropped to 0-15.
Christian Withrow had a game-high 13 points to lead Clear Creek Amana while TJ Bollers added 10 points and seven rebounds.
Nick O’Connor had nine points and Jack Sexton and Mason Stanfield each added eight for the
Lincoln Kingbird led South Tama with 10 points.

Liberty High Drops Heartbreaker in OT at Hempstead
Liberty High had opportunities to win at the end of regulation and in overtime but came up short in a 69-66 loss to Class 4A ninth-ranked Dubuque Hempstead on Tuesday in Dubuque.
The loss was the third straight for Liberty High and dropped the Lightning to 6-6 on the season while Hempstead improved to 11-3 with the win.
Andre Brandon had 22 points to pace Liberty High while Kelby Telander added 17 and Ethan O’Donnell had eight.
Sam Funke added seven points and Basil Aldoss six for Liberty High.
Michael Duax had a game-high 27 for Hempstead and Jamari Smith added 22 for the Mustangs.
