Baseball Roundup: Regina Downs Burlington Notre Dame for Third Straight Win

Another strong out from a senior pitcher helped Regina completed a perfect week as the Regals downed Burlington Notre Dame 8-3 in a non-conference contest in Iowa City on Friday.
Levi Quinlan worked 6 1/3 solid innings to earn the win as Regina improved to 9-9 on the season with its third consecutive win this week.
Burlington Notre Dame dropped to 9-9 with the loss.
Quinlan struck out six and walked two allowing just three runs, two earned, on two hits in 6 1/3 innings.
Jack Tierney recorded the final two outs for the Regals.
The strong start for Quinlan followed up a shutout by senior Danny Molony against Lisbon on Tuesday and a strong outing by Kyle Schooley in a 12-2 win over Northeast on Thursday.
Cameron Lehman had a triple, drove in three runs and scored twice to lead Regina while Lucas Moore had a hit, drove in a run and scored twice.
Danny Gavin scored two runs, Molony and Schooley each drove in runs and Sean Nugent had a hit for the Regals.
