Clear Creek Amana Senior O’Connor to Run at Indian Hills

One of the top distance runners in Clear Creek Amana history has made a decision on where he will continue his runner career after high school.
Clear Creek Amana senior Nick O’Connor announced on Thursday he would be running at Indian Hills Community College with a post on social media.
“I am excited to announce that I will be continuing my academic and athletic career at Indian Hills next fall,” O’Connor wrote on Twitter. “I would like to thank everyone who has supported me along the way, especially coach Robison, my teammates and my family.”
O’Connor will leave Clear Creek Amana as one of the most decorated distance runners in program history.
The first four-state state cross country qualifier in program history, O’Connor was part of back-to-back Class 3A state runner-up teams for the Clippers and finished 11th as an individual at the 3A state meet last fall.
In track O’Connor earned three medals at the state meet last season as a junior helping the Clipper 4×800 relay team to a third-place finish in Class 3A.
O’Connor also earned a pair of individual medals with top six finishes in both the 1,600 and 3,200 meter.
