City High won the 400 freestyle relay to edge Cedar Falls 89-81 on Tuesday in a Mississippi Valley Conference dual meet in Cedar Falls that came down to the final event.

The Little Hawks won eight events but didn’t clinch the dual until the foursome of Isaac Weigel, Caleb Coons, Mark Krysan and Bryce Edens won the 400 freestyle relay in 3:22.76.

Weigel added titles in the 200 IM and 500 freestyle while Coons won the 100 backstroke and 100 butterfly to place City High.

Kento Yahashiri won the 100 breaststroke and Edens added an individual title in the 200 freestyle.

West High Rolls Past Cedar Rapids Washington

West High won all 12 events and rolled to a 134-34 win over Cedar Rapids Washington in a Mississippi Valley Conference dual meet on Tuesday in Cedar Rapids.

Damon Conzemius, James Pinter and Izaak Hajek each won a pair of individual events to lead West High.

Conzemius won the 200 freestyle and the 500 freestyle while Hajek won the 100 freestyle and the 100 backstroke.

Pinter took titles in the 100 butterfly and the 100 breaststroke while Michael Kimball won the 50 freestyle and Boyd Skelley added a title in the 200 IM.
