West High put the exclamation point on an impressive season at the state swimming and diving meet.

The Women of Troy capped a season that included a third consecutive unblemished dual record, a second straight conference title and a regional championship with its best state meet finish in more than a decade on Saturday at the Marshalltown YMCA.

Sophomore Scarlet Martin and junior Aurora Roghair each won a pair of individual titles and West High had two relays finish in the top three on its way to a fourth-place team finish with 184.5 points.

The state runner-up each of the past two seasons, West Des Moines Dowling snapped a string of four consecutive titles for Ames by winning the team crown with 360 points.

Ames was second with 328 followed by Ankeny with 200.

City High had a strong state meet placing eighth with 114 points to finish behind fifth-place Waukee, Bettendorf and Cedar Falls in the top 10.

The fourth-place finish for West High matched best state finish for the Women of Troy since 2005.

Martin won the first two titles of her career on Saturday winning the 200 IM in 2:02.56 and setting a state record in the 100 butterfly winning the title by more than a second in a time of 53.41.

Roghair won the 200 freestyle in 1:48.85 and added a title in the 500 freestyle in 4:50.87.

Martin and Roghair teamed with sophomores Ella Hochstetler and Olivia Taeger to place third in the 200 freestyle relay in 1:35.89.

The West High 400 freestyle relay team of Jade Roghair, Aurora Roghair, Lily Ernst and Martin was runner-up to West Des Moines Dowling in a time of 3:28.64.

City High used a strong meets from seniors Olivia Masterson and Carly Weigel to secure a top-10 team finish.

Weigel and Masterson each posted a pair of top-10 individual finishes and were part of two Little Hawk top-10 relay performances.

Masterson finished third in the 100 breaststroke in 1:04.1 and added an eighth-place finish in the 100 butterfly in 57.98.

Weigel was third in the 100 freestyle in 52.17 and sixth in the 100 backstroke 57.35.

Masterson and Weigel joined senior Trinity Sadecky and junior Rika Yahashiri on the City High 200 medley relay team that placed fourth in 1:46.76.

The same Little Hawk foursome placed seventh in the 200 medley relay in 1:38.42.
