Clear Creek Amana Puts Two on WAMAC West Division First Team

With more than 2,000 career assists to her credit Cheyaenne Bunch will leave Clear Creek Amana as one of the most prolific setters in program history.
Bunch will also leave as a first-team all-WAMAC selection.
The senior setter was one of two Clippers to be unanimously selected to the WAMAC West Division first team on Thursday when the conference announced its postseason honors.
Bunch joined sophomore Calia Clubb as a unanimous first-team West Division pick after ranking fourth among all WAMAC players and sixth in Class 4A with 764 assists.
The 5-foot-6 Bunch averaged 8.3 assists per set and ranked second on the team with 42 ace serves and was third with 200 digs on her way to earning first-team all-division honors for the first time.
Clubb earned all-WAMAC honors for the first time after leading the Clippers with 332 kills, 264 digs and 47 ace serves.
The 6-foot-1 Clubb also had 17 blocks while helping the Clippers to a 5-1 record in West Division play.
Clear Creek Amana junior Hailey Pollock was named to the West Division second team after posting 279 kills and a team-high 63 blocks.
Juniors Emily Sly and Gabrielle Bedford were both honorable mention selections in the West Division for the Clippers.
Solon senior Katie Yi was named to the East Division second team after leading the Spartans with 237 kills and 56 blocks.
The 5-foot-10 Yi ranked third on the team with 23 ace serves and was fourth on the team with 176 digs.
Senior Jane Willms and freshman Delaney Bombei were both honorable mention East Division selections for the Spartans.
