In a season already filled with firsts Clear Creek Amana added another to that list on Tuesday night.
Clear Creek Amana rallied from a three-goal deficit for the first time in history scoring a trio of goals after halftime to edge Independence 4-3 in overtime in a WAMAC Conference match in Tiffin.
Eliza Evans capped the comeback with a goal off an Ellen Austin assist three minutes into overtime as Class 2A eighth-ranked Clear Creek Amana improved to 8-0 on the season and 7-0 in WAMAC play with its second one-goal win in as many nights.
Easten Miller scored twice in the first half, her second goal in the 35th minute giving Independence (2-6) a 3-0 lead.
Leah Evans cut the lead to 3-1 with a goal before the half and Ellen Austin pulled the Clippers within a goal when she scored on a penalty kick with 20 minutes left after Lauren Riggle was fouled inside the box.
Riggle tied the game with a goal of her own with five minutes remaining and Evans ended the game with her goal three minutes into overtime.
Clear Creek Amana returns to action on Friday when it hosts West Delaware (0-7).
