Clear Creek Amana finished 24th out of 50 teams at the prestigious Roy Griak Invitational on Saturday at Les Bolstad Cross Country Course in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

The Clippers finished with 700 team points to place 24th while Liberty High was 29th with 814 points.

Clear Creek Amana finished in front of Urbandale which was 26th with 787 points while West Des Moines Valley was 36th and Decorah was 48th.

Brandon Barker placed 54th out of 570 runners in a time of 16:58.9 to lead Clear Creek Amana while Nick O’Connor was 93rd in 17:16.4 and Jack Sexton placed 115th in 17:27.6.

Jack Kinzer placed 96th in a time of 17:18.1 to lead Liberty High while teammate Peter Woodward was 114th in 17:27.5.

Solon Places Eighth at Anamosa Invite

Solon placed eighth with 195 points at the Anamosa Cross Country Invitational on Saturday in Anamosa.

Tipton won the team title with 36 points followed by Calamus-Wheatland with 89, Cedar Rapids Jefferson with 94 and Monticello with 104.

Ben DeValk placed 28th in a time of 18:19 while Tyler Bilskie was 34th in a time of 18:47 to lead the Spartans.
