Boys Basketball Roundup: Regina Snaps Skid With Win at West Liberty

With the postseason looming right around the corner Regina grabbed some much-needed momentum in a preview of its district opener on Thursday.
Regina snapped a four-game losing skid with a 58-48 win over West Liberty in a River Valley Conference South Division matchup in West Liberty.
The Regals jumped to a 19-2 lead after the opening quarter and cruised the rest of the way while improving to 7-10 on the season and 7-8 in RVC play.
West Liberty dropped to 3-15 and 2-14 in conference action.
Regina closes the regular season by hosting Mid-Prairie on Saturday before hosting West Liberty in a Class 2A, District 10 quarterfinal on Monday.
Ashton Cook had a double-double with 17 points and 11 rebounds to lead Regina.
Coltrae Kerschen, Alec Wick and Charlie Crigger each added eight points for the Regals.
Wick had five assists, four rebounds and three steals while Kerschen had three rebounds and blocked three shots.
