The West High girls bowling team finished seventh at the Mississippi Valley Conference Valley Divisional meet at May City Bowl in Cedar Rapids on Thursday.

Dubuque Hempstead won the team title with 3,127 pins followed by Waterloo East with 3,062 and Cedar Rapids Jefferson with 3,032.

West High was seventh with 2,149.

Neena Turnblom led the Trojans with a score of 346 while Jordynn Brackett added a 314 and Jade Ritchey had a 279.

Kirsten Mitchell of Dubuque Hempstead rolled a 268 in the second game to finish with a two-game total of 493 while claiming the individual title.

The West High boys finished eighth at the meet with a 2,770 while Waterloo West won the boys title with a score of 3,237.

Cedar Rapids Kennedy was runner-up with 3,157 and Cedar Rapids Jefferson was third with 3,117.

Robert Jones led West High with a 434 while Adam McLean rolled a 376, Ryan Bys posted a 372 and Stirlen Roberson a 361.

Justin Trcka of Cedar Rapids Xavier finished with a 287 in game two to post a two-game total of 486 to claim the individual title.
