Girls Basketball Roundup: Joens Lifts City High Past 4A No. 10 Dubuque Wahlert

Kelsey Joens had a game-high 18 points as Class 5A eighth-ranked City High bounced back from a road loss at No. 6 Cedar Falls with a 42-39 win over 4A No. 10 Dubuque Wahlert on Tuesday in Iowa City.
City High improved to 4-2 with the win while Dubuque Wahlert had a three-game winning streak snapped with the loss and dropped to 5-3 on the season.
Eviyon Richardson had eight points, Kacie Earl added seven and Andie Westlake had five for the Little Hawks.
Ana Chandlee and Emma Donovan each had 12 points and Mary Kate King had 10 for Wahlert.
