Solon had its win streak halted at seven straight with a 52-40 loss at Class 4A No. 14 Cedar Rapids Xavier on Monday in a nonconference contest in Cedar Rapids.

Class 3A No. 13 Solon (8-3) led after the opening quarter and trailed by just three points with under six minutes to play before Cedar Rapids Xavier (5-3) pulled away late for its third consecutive win.

Callie Levin led Solon with 12 points while Kaia Holtkamp added 11 and Elly Holubar had six.

Lexi Turner had a game-high 17 to lead Xavier while Lexi Beier had 15 and Kyla Mason added eight for the Saints.
