Girls Basketball Roundup: No. 14 Solon Stays Hot With Win at West Delaware

The two-week holiday break did nothing to slow the momentum of the Solon girls basketball team.
Class 3A No. 14 Solon stretched its winning streak to six with a 62-21 win over West Delaware on Tuesday in a WAMAC East Division contest in Manchester.
Solon improved to 7-2 on the season with the win in its first game back following the break while West Delaware dropped to 2-6.
Solon snapped an 8-all tie after the opening quarter by outscoring the Hawks 21-7 in the second quarter and blew the game open with a 21-point third quarter.
Freshman Callie Levin had a game-high 17 points to go with five rebounds, five assists and five steals.
Kaia Holtkamp had 10 points and Makinley Levin added eight points for the Spartans.
Claire LaDage had seven points and six rebounds and Elly Holubar had four points and seven boards for the Spartans.
