West High continued its domination of the Mississippi Valley Conference this season by sweeping the Valley Division player and coach of the year awards when the league announced its postseason awards on Friday.

Senior Sam Shin was named Valley Division player of the year and Mitch Gross was named coach of the year after direction the top-ranked Trojans to an unbeaten regular season.

Shin was a unanimous first-team all-division selection and joined teammates Jack Wenzel and Sasha Chackalackal on the Valley Division first team.

Sophomore Eli Young was a second-team Valley Division pick for West High while sophomore Mukundan Kasturiranga and freshman Luca Chackalackal were each honorable mention picks.

Liberty High freshmen Ryan Bys and Noah Kirk were named to the honorable mention squad in the Valley division and City High seniors Evan Hansen and Ethan Snee were honorable mention picks in the Mississippi Division.
