Baseball Roundup: Liberty High Closes Regular Season With Win Over Marion

Liberty High closed the regular season with an 8-5 win over Marion on Tuesday in a non-conference contest in North Liberty.
The Lightning used six pitchers and got hits from six different players while improving to 10-5 on the season with its fifth win in its last six games.
Marion dropped to 7-10 with the loss.
Isaac Bender and Nolan Frey each had two hits to lead Liberty High while Keian Secrist had a hit and drove in two runs and Tyler Dahm doubled, drove in a run and scored twice.
Frey and Bender each scored two runs and Cody Schroeder had a double, drove in a run and scored a run.
Jacob Norris had a hit and drove in a run for the Lightning.
Frey, Schroeder, Dahm and Sam Funke all worked scoreless innings for Liberty High while Hunter White started and earned the win and Ethan O’Donnell pitched the final two innings to collect the save.
