Mount Pleasant scored five runs in the sixth inning to snap a 7-7 tie on its way to a 12-9 win over Solon on Monday in a non-conference contest in Mount Pleasant.

The loss was the second straight for Solon and dropped the Spartans to 13-6 on the season while Mount Pleasant improved to 14-6 with the win.

Cael O’Neill went 3-for-3 and scored two runs to lead Solon while Sully Steen was 3-for-4 with a double and two RBI.

Cole Arduser and Blake Timmons each had two hits with Timmons driving in a run.

Jackson Ryan had a hit, scored a run and drove in two runs, Carson Shive had a hit and scored a run and Brady Jeworrek had a hit and scored three times.
