Solon hammered 20 hits and scored 27 runs in a doubleheader sweep of Dyersville Beckman in a WAMAC East Division doubnleheader on Wednesday in Solon.

Class 3A No. 14 Solon won a rain-delayed opener 15-5 in five innings and took the nightcap 12-2 in six innings to improve to 14-6 on the season.

Dyersville Beckman dropped to 5-12.

Solon used a seven-run fourth inning to snap a 5-5 tie and ended the game via the 10-run rule with three more runs in the fifth.

Jadyn Jeter had a two-run single and Sarah Heick added an RBI double in the seven-run fourth inning that helped the Spartans take control.

Heick was one of four Spartans with four hits and drove in three runs while Jeter also drove in three runs and scored a run.

Ava Stebral had two hits including a home run, drove in two runs and scored three times.

Hilary Wilson had two hits, drove in two runs and scored twice and Monet Barnhouse weas 2-for-4 with two RBI and a run scored.

Kayla West scored three runs while Carly Ellison earned the win allowing five runs on four hits in five innings.

Solon scored eight runs in the final two innings to pull away in the nightcap.

Heick and Wilson each doubled twice and had three hits in the game-two win.

Wilson scored three runs while Heick drove in two runs in the win.

Peyton Sands went 2-for-3 and scored three runs while Jada Buffington was 2-for-3 with a run and an RBI.

Camryn Keith had a hit and drove in two runs and Jeter scored twice and drove in two runs.

Madison Sprague earned the win allowing two runs on nine hits while striking out three in six innings.
