Girls Basketball Roundup: West Branch Runs Win Streak to Seven With Road Win at Durant

West Branch just keeps humming along.
The Bears stretched their winning streak to seven with a 42-29 win at Durant on Friday in a River Valley Conference South Division matchup.
Class 2A No. 13 West Branch improved to 13-2 on the season and 11-2 in RVC play with the win while Durant dropped to 2-12 and 2-11 in conference contests.
Sophomore Taya Young poured in 21 points, grabbed six steals and had three assists to lead West Branch.
Rylan Druecker had 10 points and five rebounds and Sasha Koenig had seven points, six assists and five rebounds for West Branch.
Regina Rally Comes up Short at Tipton
Regina cut an 18-point lead to one possession in the fourth quarter but came up just shy of a comeback falling to Tipton 57-54 in a River Valley Conference South Division contest in Tipton on Friday.
Sam Greving had 23 points and Kennedy Wallace added 18 for Regina which dropped to 5-8 on the season and 5-7 in RVC play with its third straight loss.
Tipton improved to 6-6 on the season and 5-6 in RVC contests.

City High Stays Unbeaten With Win Over Waterloo West
Rose Nkumu scored a game-high 24 points as Class 5A top-ranked City High remained unbeaten with a 62-46 win over Waterloo West on Friday in Iowa City.
Aubrey Joens added 18 points and Eviyon Richardson had 10 as City High improved to 11-0 on the season.
Jada Draine had 16 points and NaTracia Ceaser had 15 to lead Waterloo West which dropped to 7-4 with the loss.
