Clear Creek Amana opened the new year with a 72-49 win over South Tama in a WAMAC West Division matchup in Tama.
Tyler Schrepfer scored 17 points and Nolan Schwarting added 11 as Clear Creek Amana improved to 6-3.
TJ Bollers and Christian Withrow both added eight points for the Clippers.
South Tama dropped to 0-10 with the loss.

City High Drops Sixth Straight
City High rallied from a 12-point halftime deficit to lead by as many as seven in the fourth quarter but couldn’t hang on falling to Waterloo East 62-59 in a Mississippi Valley Conference Mississippi Division matchup in Iowa City.
City High dropped to 2-6 on the season and 0-6 in MVC play with its sixth straight loss while Waterloo East improved to 6-2 and 4-2 in MVC play.
Carter Westlake had 17 points to lead three City High players in double figures while Antonio Turner had 13 points and Byron Benton added 11.
Ry Threlkeld-Wiegand added nine points and Liam McComas had six.
Tyrese Nickelson led Waterloo East with 17 points.

Liberty High Falls to Waterloo West
Liberty High fell to Waterloo West 50-47 on Friday in a Mississippi Valley Conference Valley Division contest in North Liberty.
The loss was the fourth straight for Liberty High and dropped the Lightning to 4-5 on the season and 2-4 in MVC play while Waterloo West improved to 6-2 on the season and 4-2 in MVC games.
Andre Brandon led Liberty High with 18 points while Isaac Bender had seven points, four rebounds and four assists for the Lightning.
Ethan O’Donnell added four points five rebounds and four assists.
