Volleyball Roundup: CCA Drops Five-set Thriller to Pella in 4A Regional Final

Clear Creek Amana came up just short of a state tournament berth on Monday falling to seventh-ranked Pella in a Class 4A regional final in Pella.
The Clippers won the opening two sets before Pella rallied for a 20-25, 17-25, 25-20, 25-19, 15-9 win to advance to the state tournament for the fourth consecutive season.
Pella improved to 31-6 with the win and will face Cedar Rapids Xavier in a 4A quarterfinal on Tuesday at 4 p.m. at the US Cellular Center in Cedar Rapids.
Clear Creek Amana closed the season 26-15.
Emily Holterhaus led Pella with a match-high 24 kills while Natalie Clayberg added 11 kills.
