Golf Roundup: Solon Girls Shoot Season Low in Dual Win Over Liberty High

Solon continued a busy week with a runner-up finish at the Central DeWitt Saber Invite on Tuesday at Springbrook Country Club in DeWitt.
Playing on back-to-back days the Spartans had a pair of golfers place in the top eight while shooting a 340 to finish behind team champion Central DeWitt.
Jack Stahle fired an 80 to place fourth and Ethan Yahr carded an 82 to finish eighth for the Spartans.
Blake Newell and Joe Stahle each shot an 89 for Solon.
Central DeWitt had the top three finishers led by Tucker Kinney and Tanner Steffens who shared medalist honors each shooting a 74.

Regina and West Branch Tie at Golden Hawk Invite
West Branch and Regina each shot a 367 at the Mid-Prairie Golden Hawk Invitational on Tuesday at the Kalona Country Club.
Mount Vernon shot a 345 to win the team title, host Mid-Prairie was runner-up with a 350 and Wilton was third with a 358.
West Branch junior Ted Bridges fired an 84 to place fifth and was one stroke in front of Regina sophomore Mark Schomer who was sixth with an 85.
Brady Lukavsky and Jack Robertson each shot a 94 for West Branch.
Nic Hein shot a 93, Zach Seaman a 94 and Scotty Arendt a 95 for Regina.

Solon Shoots Season-Low in Dual Win
Solon shot a season-low 199 to defeat Liberty High by 11 strokes in a dual meet at Brown Deer Golf Course in Iowa City on Tuesday.
Leah Woessner shot a career-best 43 and Reegan Helle fired a 48 to pace Solon.
Elly Schadler also record a career-best score with a 50 and Heather Vance shot a 56 for the Spartans.
CCA Drops WAMAC Dual
Independence shot a 218 to down Clear Creek Amana in a WAMAC West division dual meet on Tuesday at Amana Colonies Golf Course.
Emily Greathouse shot a 54 to earn runner-up medalist as Clear Creek Amana shot a 233 as a team.
Elle McCredie record a career-best score for the second day in a row shooting a 55 while Thea Clennon added a 55 and Jayden Knapp shot a 64 for the Clippers.
Kelsey Gruber of Independence earned medalist honors with a 47.
