Solon finished runner-up at its own season-opening WAMAC triangular on Thursday at Lake Macbride Golf Course in Solon.
Vinton-Shellsburg won the team title with a 213 followed by Solon with a 233 and West Delaware with a 250.
Rachel Tandy of Vinton-Shellsburg shot a 47 to earn medalist honors while teammate Lillie Lamont was runner-up with a 49.
Reegan Helle fired a 58 to pace Solon while Leah Woessner shot a 58 and Elly Schadler posted a 60 for the Spartans.

Rocha Earns Medalist Honors in West Branch Dual Win
Aleah Rocha shot a 49 to earn medalist honors in a West Branch River Valley Conference dual win over West Liberty on Thursday at the West Liberty Country Club.
Led by Rocha West Branch finished with a 212 to finish 15 strokes in front of West Liberty.
Lexi Clemens and Savannah Sexton each shot a 54 for the Bears.

Brady Lukavsky and Cade Aspelmeier each shot 43 as West Branch finished with a 172 to win the dual by 28 strokes.
Austin Beaver shot a 44 to lead West Branch.
