Liberty High got off to a strong start in its debut season with a seventh-place team finish at the Lady Lancer Relays on Thursday at North Scott High School in Eldridge.

Camille Mac won the 3,000 in 10:45.12 and finished third in the 800 in 2:29.94 as the Lightning finished with 56 points.

Taylor Cannon added a runner-up finish in the 100 hurdles in 16.39 and helped Liberty High to a pair of top three relay finishes.

The foursome of Elizabeth Davis, Breeyn Gryp, Jada Murphy and Cannon finished runner-up in the shuttle hurdle relay in 1:11.3.

Davis, Cannon, Mac and Mckenzie Logan finished third in the distance medley relay 4:39.03.
