After what seemed like a season full of close losses Clear Creek Amana has picked up back-to-back tight wins.
Darius Moore hit a pair of free throws with one second left to lift Clear Creek Amana to a 52-50 win over Center Point-Urbana in a WAMAC West Division tilt on Friday in Center Point.
The win improved Clear Creek Amana improved to 4-9 and 4-5 in WAMAC West play and came after a 73-69 win over Benton Community on Tuesday.
Moore had 15 points, six rebounds and three assists to lead Clear Creek Amana while freshman TJ Bollers added 10 points and six rebounds.
Center Point-Urbana dropped to 7-7 and 3-6 in WAMAC West play with its second straight loss.

Cedar Rapids Jefferson Pulls Away From City High in Second Half
In its first meeting with City High last month it was a strong start that propelled Cedar Rapids Jefferson to a win.
On Friday it was a big finish that helped the J-Hawks complete the season sweep.
Cedar Rapids Jefferson outscored City High 45-16 in the second half on its way to a 70-34 win in a Mississippi Valley Conference contest in Cedar Rapids.
The J-Hawks outscored City High 19-4 in the first quarter on its way to a 61-50 win over City High on Dec. 19.
Friday it was the third quarter that doomed the Little Hawks.
Cedar Rapids Jefferson outscored the Little Hawks 27-9 in the third quarter to break open a 25-18 halftime game.
The loss was the third straight for City High and dropped the Little Hawks to 3-9 on the season and 2-6 in MVC play.
Cedar Rapids Jefferson improved to 6-7 and 3-6 in MVC games with its third straight win.
Carter Westlake and Keshawn Christian each had nine points to lead City High while Antonio Turner added five points.
Willie Guy had a game-high 13 points to lead Cedar Rapids Jefferson.

Big Game From Coons Not Enough for Solon
AJ Coons poured in a career-high 33 points but it wasn’t quite enough for Solon to knock off WAMAC East Division leader Western Dubuque.
Western Dubuque outscored Solon 6-4 in overtime to claim a 63-61 win over the Spartans in a WAMAC East showdown on Friday in Solon.
Calvin Harris scored 19 of his team-high 22 points after halftime as Western Dubuque completed the season sweep of the Spartans and put a stranglehold on the WAMAC East Division race.
Jordan Lake added 20 points and Kale Cartee had 12 to help the Bobcats improve to 11-2 on the season and 8-1 in WAMAC East play.
Coons led all scorers with 33 points but it wasn’t enough as Solon dropped to 9-5 on the season and 5-4 in WAMAC East play.
Cam Miller had nine points, Ben Krutzfeldt had eight and Luke Ira seven for the Spartans.
