After a trio of close calls against ranked opponents West Branch finally got over the hump on Monday.

West Branch ended a string of three straight losses to ranked opponents with a 48-42 road win over Class 3A No. 8 Camanche in a River Valley Conference cross-divisional matchup.

Tatum Koenig had 20 points, six rebounds, five assists and five steals as West Branch improved to 5-4 on the season and 4-4 in RVC play with its second straight win.

Freshmen Sasha Koenig and Taya Young each joined Tatum Koenig in double figures.

Sasha Koenig had 11 points and three rebounds while Young added 10 points and two rebounds.

Kaiya Luneckas had 14 rebounds for West Branch.

The Bears close out the December portion of their schedule on Tuesday by hosting Mid-Prairie.
