City High went 3-0 with a pair of wins over ranked teams on the second day of the Battle of Waterloo on Saturday at Young Arena.

Class 3A eighth-ranked City High defeated Class 1A No. 10 Lake Mills 39-28 and 3A No. 9 Waverly-Shell Rock 42-24 to go with a 45-27 win over Crestwood on Saturday as the Little Hawks finished 5-1 at the two-day tournament.

West High dropped three matches on Saturday falling to Independence, Western Dubuque and 2A No. 7 Davenport Assumption.

Rohret, Cochrane Win Titles for CCA at Spencer

Andrew Rohret and Tanner Cochrane each earned individual titles for Clear Creek Amana at the Austin Roberts Memorial Invitational on Saturday in Spencer.

Rohret won the 145-pound title and Cochrane finished first at 220 pounds as the Clippers placed 12th at the 16-team tourney with 77 points.

Cochrane (12-4) went 3-0 on his way to the 220-pound title, defeating Monte Pottebaum of West Lyon 9-7 in the title match.

Rohret won four straight matches to win the 145-pound crown and improved to 12-5 on the season with a 4-0 win over Kaley Meyer of Central Lyon/George-Little Rock in the championship.

Sam Stevens added a fourth-place finish at 113 for the Clippers.

Runner-up Finish by Williams Leads Liberty High at Saber Invitational

Kaleb Williams finished second at 138 pounds to lead Liberty High at the Saber Invitational on Saturday in DeWitt.

The runner-up finish by Williams helped Liberty High finish eighth with 75 team points.

Host Central DeWitt won the team title with 177.5 points while Camanche was second with 157 and Davenport Central was third with 121.

Jared Alger was third at 132 for Liberty High while Klein Thoensen (145), Ashton Barker (152), Gavin Luze (182) and Andres Estrada (220) all finished fourth.
