West Branch opened a new season on Tuesday at Durant but senior guard Tatum Koenig picked up right where she left off last season.

Koenig poured in a game-high 25 points on Tuesday as West Branch (1-0) rolled to an 82-42 win over Durant (0-2) in a River Valley Conference South Division matchup in Durant.

The senior guard added seven assists, six steals and five rebounds as West Branch built a 50-29 halftime lead.

Freshman Sasha Koenig added 21 points, six rebounds, five assists and four steals in the win while freshman Taya Young added 11 points and three rebounds.

Sophomore Mackenzie Heise had eight points, four rebounds and four steals.
