City High, West High Put Players on MVC First Teams

City High and West High each had a player earn first team all-division honors as the Mississippi Valley Conference announced its postseason volleyball awards on Tuesday.
West High senior Colby Greene was a first team pick in the Mississippi Division while City High junior Mackenzie Murphy earned first team honors in the Valley Division.
Greene led West High to a 22-16 record and a spot in the regional title game posting a team-high 300 kills while averaging 3.23 kills per set a
The 6-foot-3 Greene led West High with 76 blocks, ranked fourth on the team with 130 digs and added 18 ace serves.
A 5-foot-11 junior, Murphy ranked second on the team with 173 kills for City High and posted a team-high 49 ace serves for the Little Hawks.
Murphy was also second on the team with 19 blocks.
City High junior Ellie Evans was a second team pick in the Valley Division after finishing third on the team with 169 digs while collecting a team-high 186 digs.
Evans was second on the City High squad with 30 ace serves.
Senior Keimoney Lang and junior Claire Overton both earned honorable mention honors for West High in the Mississippi Division while City High sophomores Kelsey Law and Mia Loughran were honorable mention picks in the Valley Division.
