West High put five runners in the top 10 while winning the title at the Southeast Polk Cross Country Invite for the third straight season on Thursday in Runnells.

Bailey Nock won the individual title in 19:36.3 as Class 4A second-ranked West High had three of the top four finishers while cruising to the team title with 27 points.

Des Moines Roosevelt was second with 77 while Ankeny Centennial was third with 83 followed by Ankeny with 106.

Nock was the individual title by more than 30 seconds over runner-up Megan Sievers of Carlisle while senior Colleen Bloeser and freshman Kiara Malloy-Salgado each finished in the top five.

Boeser was third in a time of 20:16 while Malloy-Salgado was fourth in 20:19.4.

Junior Deniz Ince added a ninth-place finish in a time of 20:40.9 and freshman Erica Buetner was 10th in 20:41.8.
