Conway Wins Title to Lead Solon to Team Crown at Williamsburg Invite

Freshman Kiersten Conway won her first individual title to lead Solon to the team title at the Williamsburg Invitational on Tuesday at the Williamsburg Sports Complex.
Conway led five Solon runners that finished in the top 10 as the Spartans won the team title with 25 points, 12 in front of runner-up Williamsburg.
Conway won the individual title in 20:17, 34 seconds in front of runner-up Cheyenne Shaw of North Mahaska.
Sophie Nicol finished fourth in a time of 20:58 while Erin Kerkhoff was fifth in 20:58.
Ella Duster placed ninth in 21:29 while Nicole Shafer was 10th in 21:29.
Carl Richey placed 13th in a time of 18:30 to lead the Solon boys to a third place team finish with 93 points.
Tipton won the boys team title with 22 points followed by host Williamsburg with 35.
