Cross Country Roundup: Nock Leads West High to Third-Place Finish at Rim Rock Farms

West High had three runners finish in the top 35 led by Bailey Nock who placed third on its way to a third-place team finish in the Gold Division of the Rim Rock Farm High School Cross Country Classic on Saturday in Lawrence, Kansas.
Nock placed third in 18:49.3 while Colleen Bloeser was 20th in 19:36.2 and freshman Kiara Malloy-Sadago placed 33rd in a time of 20:08.9.
West High finished with 158 points, nine behind runner-up Millard West (Nebraska) and 14 back of team champion St. James Academy (Kansas).
Victoria Findley of Blue Springs South won the individual title in 18:12.9 and Makenzie Stucker of Raymore-Peculiar was second in 18:48.3.

Liberty High With Trio of Top-3 Finishers at Independence
Freshman McKenzie Logan and Camille Mac and sophomore Peter Woodward all record top-three finishes for Liberty at the 40th Mustang Cross Country Invitational on Saturday in Independence.
Woodward placed third in the boys race in a time of 17:25 to help Liberty High to a fourth-place team finish with 89 points.
South Winneshiek won the boys team title with 35 points followed by West Delaware with 77 and Maquoketa Valley with 81.
Jack Kinzer finished 12th in 18:12 for Liberty High while Spencer Knight was 18th in 18:43.
In the girls race Logan finished second in 20:38 while Mac was third in 20:55.
Felicity Taylor of South Winneshiek won the girls individual title in 19:48 to lead South Winneshiek to the team title with 31 points.

Conway Leads Solon at Anamosa Invitational
Solon freshman Kiersten Conway placed eighth to lead the Spartans to a third-place team finish at the Anamosa Invitational on Saturday.
Conway finished in 21:01 to lead four Solon runners that finished in the top 21.
Senior Sophie Nicol was 16th in 21:44 while junior Erin Kerkhoff was 17th in 22:03 and Nicole Shafer was 21st in 22:16.
Paige Holub of Monticello won the individual title in 19:18 to lead the Panthers to the team title with 63 points.
Host Anamosa was runner-up with 84 points while Solon was third with 87.
The Solon boys finished eighth with 207 points.
Cedar Rapids Jefferson won the boys team title with 55 points and Will Dehaan of Central DeWitt won the individual crown in 17:15.
Ethan Kober finished 30th in 19:19 to pace Solon.
