Kolby Greiner cruised to the individual title as West High won the team title at the Eastern Iowa Classic on Thursday at the Seminole Valley Cross Country Course in Cedar Rapids.

Greiner won the individual title in 16:03.69, nearly 40 seconds faster than runner-up Jonathan Lansing of Cedar Rapids Xavier.

The performance by Greiner was the eighth fastest ever at the Seminole Valley Course and headlined three top-10 finishes by West High.

Ethan Goers placed eighth in 17:07.33 and Ethan Trepka was ninth in 17:07.65 for the Trojans.

West High won the team title with 43 points while Cedar Rapids Washington was second with 50 and Cedar Rapids Kennedy was third with 51.

Nathan Meyer finished 24th in a time of 17:23.39 to lead Regina to a fifth-place finish with 150 points.

Regina senior Nourah Abusada placed 10th in the girls race to lead Regina to a fourth-place team finish with 74 points.

Muscatine won the team title with 40 points while Cedar Rapids Kennedy was second with 57.

Cedar Rapids Washington junior Reagan Gorman won the girls individual title in 20:01.24.
