Winless for more than two weeks City High got a much-needed and long-awaited victory on Monday night.

City High snapped a three-match losing skid with a 25-20, 25-20, 25-21 win over Cedar Rapids Kennedy in a Mississippi Valley Conference Valley Division match at City High.

Kelsey Law had 11 kills and Ellie Evans added 10 as City High improved to 6-8 on the season and 1-2 in conference play.

Mackenzie Murphy had eight kills and Mia Loughran added seven kills for City High while Lindsey Bolton had 31 assists.

Cedar Rapids Kennedy dropped to 6-10 with the loss.
