The City High girls swimming team defeated Dubuque Hempstead 130-56 in a Mississippi Valley Conference dual meet on Thursday at the Mercer Park Aquatic Center in Iowa City.

City High won 10 events including all three relays and got individual titles from five different swimmers on its way to the win.

Carly Weigel and Trinity Sadecky each won two events to pace the Little Hawks.

Weigel won the 200 freestyle in 2:03.96 and also claimed the title in the 100 freestyle in 58.31.

Sadecky won the 200 IM in a time of 2:23.37 and added a first place finish in the 500 freestyle in 5:33.52.

Clara Froeschner won the 50 freestyle in 28:07, Edie Knoop won the backstroke in 1:08.35 and Laura Lorenger added a title in the 100 breastroke in 1:13.75.
