West High sophomore Kyle Spence fired a six-over-par 76 on Tuesday to finish third at the Crandic Invitational at St. Andrews Golf Club in Cedar Rapids.

Spence had seven of his 11 pars on the front nine as he shot a two-over 37 on the front.

The 76 by Spence was two strokes back of Cedar Rapids Xavier senior Brad Karpick who shot a 74 to earn individual medalist honors.

Cedar Rapids Xavier won the team title at the eight-team meet with a 316, three strokes in front of runner-up Linn-Mar.

West High was sixth with a 351 while City High was seventh with a 372.

City High senior Campbell Johnson shot an 80 to place ninth.
