City High closed the regular season with a non-conference doubleheader split with North Scott on Tuesday in Eldridge.
Class 4A fourth-ranked City High won the opener 2-1 in eight innings before dropping the nightcap 12-2 in five innings.
City High closes the regular season 28-12 while North Scott moved to 22-14.
Levi Pugh provided the game-winning RBI in the opener with a bases loaded sacrifice fly in the top of the eighth inning and then worked a scoreless inning to earn the save.
Quenton Max earned the win in relief working three scoreless innings behind starter Riley Regennitter.
Regennitter allowed one unearned run on three hits in four innings.
Bryce Frant and Brett McCleary each doubled for City High while Travis Reyhons had a hit and scored a run and Zach Stone drove in a run.
Jim Geerdes took the loss in game two allowing seven runs, five earned in 2 1/3 innings.
Ben Parker and Pugh each had two hits for City High while Parker drove in a run and Regennitter and Pugh each scored a run.
City High hosts Waterloo East in its postseason opener on Friday at 7 p.m.
