Clear Creek Amana’s Bormann and Solon’s Durr Highlight WAMAC All-Division Selections

Two of the top players in the state headline the WAMAC postseason soccer teams with Solon senior Josie Durr and Clear Creek Amana senior Hannah Bormann each earning first team honors from the conference.
Despite missing the final three games of the season with an injury, Durr ranked second in the state with 62 goals this season and added eight assists to lead Solon to an 11-8 record.
An Iowa recruit, Durr finished her career with 170 goals and led a trio of Spartans named to the East Division first team as senior Ali Diersen and junior Megan Tucker both joined Durr on the first team.
Tucker had a goal and led Solon with 14 assists this season.
Sophomore Taylor Ryan and senior Aurora Christner were both named to the East Division second team.
Bormann highlighted the Clear Creek Amana West Division first team selections as the senior scored a team-high 28 goals and added eight assists.
A Drake signee, Bormann finished her career with 124 goals and as the all-time assist and scoring leader in program history.
Senior keeper Sarah Johnson and senior Clare Austin were both named to the West Division first team.
Johnson posted five shutouts in goal this season while Austin had a pair of goals while helping the Clippers to a 14-4 record.
Sophomore Amelia Pereira and senior Kaitlin Riggle were both named to the West Division second team for the Clippers.
