Solon earned a second shot at rival Regina with an impressive performance in its postseason opener.

Four different players had goals as Solon defeated Northeast 10-0 on Tuesday in a Class 1A Region 6 quarterfinal at Spartan Field in Solon.

Taylor Ryan had four goals and Erin Capper added three as Solon snapped a two-match losing streak and improved to 11-7 on the season.

Solon advanced to the Region 3 semifinals where it will host Regina on Friday at 6 p.m. a

Lauren Roeder had two goals and an assist and Tara Lance had a goal and an assist for Solon.

Megan Tucker had two assists and Dani Carter had one in the win while Brianna Smith posted the shutout in goal for the Spartans.

Solon will host Regina (5-12) for the second time in less than two weeks after dropping a 2-1 decision to the Regals at Spartan Stadium on 5-23.

Regina Rolls Past West Liberty

Regina did its part to set up a rematch with Solon, knocking off No. 15 West Liberty 6-2 on Tuesday in a 1A Region 3 quarterfinal.

Lauren Gaarde had three goals and two assists and Greyson Dumont scored twice as the Regals improved to 5-12 on the season.

Claire Gaarde had a goal and an assist and Claire Conlon chipped in with an assist for Regina.

Regina will travel to Solon (11-7) for the Region 3 semifinal on Friday at 6 p.m
